Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to monitor the supplier base to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials, machinery or services procured in a manner which provides the best value to GB.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing the operations flow of finished goods material from order entry through conversion to delivery to the customer. This position’s responsibilities are to lead the production process through managing supply issues, ensuring schedule data integrity and managing inventory levels to meet customer service levels.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Product “ownership” for the entire Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing, Engineering and Order fulfillment process. As such, coordinates with Customer Service, Sales, Engineering and Production personnel to evaluate, plan and manage the production schedule for assigned product.
 

Completes MPS/MRP for assigned product groups to maintain a loaded capacity plan in support of the plant’s production requirements, directs/manages rescheduling as required. This includes MPS level planning and MRP level purchasing.

Acts as main point of contact for all expedites through all expediting methods.

Responsible for daily monitoring and releasing of MPS level work orders.

Transact alternate/added operations as necessary and process DMR’s based on ISO procedures.

Manage the purchase and delivery of components/raw materials through conversion based on forecast and safety stock levels.

As supplier-related issues arise, quickly identify sense of urgency and effectively communicate to appropriate areas.

Analyze data to create information on safety stock levels, minimum order quantities and order multiples.

Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Sr. Buyer Planner

SUMMARY:

Reports to Division Vice President. Responsible for planning all material requirements for a specific product line and for the purchase of products in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Responsible for the timely delivery of product as required to support the production plan and establishing and maintaining good company/vendor relationships. Manage levels of finished, work-in-process and raw inventory in accordance with company and department goals and objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans all material requirements for a specific product line, including manufactured and purchased items predicated on sales and RP forecasts, customer orders and predetermined acceptable finished goods inventory levels.

Purchases products in accordance with established company policies and procedures including seeking bids, screening potential vendors, submitting specifications to ensure lowest possible price and highest quality.

Ensures the timely delivery of product as required to support the current production plan. Arranges delivery and mode of transportation in accordance with schedule requirements. Develops and monitors purchase orders with vendors based on MRP requirements and negotiated terms.

Works with Customs broker and company legal assistant on international imports to ensure proper classification of materials and with vendors to ensure proper markings.

Develops and implements corrective action required to address late shipments, short shipments, etc.

Assists in the resolution of rejected material, in-house and vendor supplied, as well as clearing receipts through incoming inspection.

Advises management of all price increases and reductions. Assists Division Vice President with all vendor price negotiations as required.

Maintains professional working relationship with suppliers. Establishes and maintains good company/vendor/subcontractor relationships and encourages new methods of production to foster cost reductions. Ensures that buyer/vendor relationship creates a no conflict-of-interest situation.

Issues manufacturing orders to Production Departments to support forecast and actual schedule requirements. Includes the development of job and production schedule paperwork as well as material pick lists and floor stock replenishment reports.

Responsible for continual review/follow-up of on order materials and in-process orders to insure adherence to schedule and prevent shortages.

Responsible for continual review/follow-up of in process manufacturing work orders to ensure adherence to established schedules. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Advises department supervisors of changing priorities.

Advises Sales Department of any extensions of estimated completion dates.

Manages levels of finished, work-in-process and raw inventory in accordance with established company and departmental goals and objectives.

Maintains the MRP database relative to lead times, minimum, maximum and multiple order quantities, price break quantities, analysts, and product line codes, etc., for each assigned product line.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the company’s planning, procurement and inventory processes in order to ensure timely availability, cost, and quality of purchased products and components. Senior Commodity Manager

This supply chain expert will manage core technology commodities. This is an exceptionally technical position. This senior commodity manager will identify partnerships, qualification of suppliers and develop supply and product strategies for the core technology commodities. This is a pivotal, higher-ranking individual contributor role.



Qualifications:

1. The client is adamant this individual must have a BS degree in engineering, (preferably Electrical) and have worked in engineering as an engineer before beginning a supply chain career.

2. Commodity expertise will be in: High voltage power suppliers, hoops, linacs, Tx Detectors, X-ray tubes, and X-ray cables.

3. Significant recent expertise with Supply Chain contracting for High voltage power suppliers, hoops, linacs, Tx Detectors, X-ray tubes, and X-ray cables.

4. Adept at managing the complete process of developing work scope for emerging Engineering development needs, developing Statement of Work, evaluating and bidding potential design service providers, negotiating design subcontractors and effectively managing these subcontracts through their life cycle

5. Ability to interpret engineering drawings

6. Significant experience in developing definition of SOWs and NPI design requirements

7. OEM electromechanical capital equipment experience

8. Expertise managing technical global supply partners

Demand Planning Manager {Newly Created Position!}
Global leading manufacturer of sensors, controls and electrical protection devices for the automotive, HVAC, aerospace and industrial markets has this immediate need!

Overview
Develop/assess the comprehensive plan for demand on specific product families. Lead the process for Planning Demand, Communicating, Influencing Demand, Prioritizing and Managing Demand. Manage the variables in the demand equation: marketing forecast, inventory, and consumption. Optimize the models/variables for each of the products to drive a product family’s demand plan to meet established customer satisfaction metrics/business goals. Develop/track performance measurements to provide feedback on execution/reinforce accountability. Blend line load management, inventory management and forecasting together for business requirements and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
●Lead communications on demand management with Marketing, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Purchasing;

●Coordinate worldwide demand plan for specific product families;

●Manage/balance global capacity utilization to meet customer/business needs;

●Manage Global allocation of output where demand exceeds capacity globally. Establish/monitor inventory models;

●Develop forward-looking capacity plans and proactively resolve issues.
Define processes/drive improvements; Travel 10% to other Company sites.

Requirements
●BS in Business or Supply Chain required, MBA is preferred and 10+ years relevant demand planning management experience required;

●Must have proven experience with Global demand projects, including communication/interaction with other global sites for the company;

●Requires strong verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate/interact/coordinate with global teams as well as with people at all levels across the organization;

●Requires ability to understand, interpret and meet business goals, including understanding the financial influence inventory, lead time, logistics has in aligning with P&L and business objectives;

●Must have demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to influence others, and ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines;

●Requires excellent PC skills/proficiency with Microsoft Software. Oracle experience is desired;

●Requires ability to travel up to 10% to other Company sites.

DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN

This executive will provide strategic and operational leadership in inventory, sourcing, logistics and procurement:
Indentify and maintain qualified vendors to ensure uninterrupted material flow
Lead and mentor and train procurement and logistics personnel
Develop supplier partnership programs
Improve supplier performance, reduce costs, improve quality, increase inventory turns
Implement demand pull supply system
Create strategic sourcing strategies and be closely involved in their implementation

Must Have Qualifications:
BS degree; mechanical engineering degree is preferred
Recent 5 years manufacturing in turnkey Supply Chain Management
Supply chain management experience in purchasing, planning and logistics
Knowledgeable in some of these processes: machining, plating, casting, forging etc.
Ability to read mechanical prints
Proven negotiation and contract development skills
Experience in ramping up supply chains in over in Asia
History of selecting, qualifying, auditing and maintaining mechanical suppliers in low cost regions
Systems savvy: ERP, databases, pivot tables, spreadsheets etc.
Demonstrated management skills: train and develop staff; manage budgets
Up to 25% international travel required

Sourcing Engineer – Early Supplier Involvement


Well established, global company that designs, develops and manufactures precision plastic products for diagnostic, drug delivery and general medical applications for tier one Healthcare OEM’s has this immediate need!

Overview
Overall responsibility for the Healthcare Global Business Unit ESI-ECI activities and applications.

Responsibilities
Participate in strategic planning to meet customer needs;

Work closely with ProM and Sales teams to source needed suppliers;

Coordinate efforts and provide detailed information at all levels related to sourcing, selection, qualification and benchmarking of suppliers. (Supplier Risk Assessment & Supplier Development);

Work closely with the Global Supply Chain and plants to assess AVL and drive research and results;

Manage requirements for all suppliers regarding the quality/system and regulatory compliance (SQE);

Assist compiling the required certifications to qualify suppliers into AVL;

Provide training on customer requirements to complement the supplier capabilities;

Participate in the development of purchasing control systems and Supply Chain System tools;

Maintain HC GBU Approved Suppliers List within categories established by GSC team;

Audit (Commercial/Quality) suppliers of Healthcare GBU plants/programs;

Escalate customer issues to HC GBU team and directives;

Manage/promote supplier measurement philosophy utilizing the Supplier Scorecard and standardization;

Collaborate related work with SQE function and plants. Assist in the technology introduction by partner suppliers to the Company;

Collaborate with SQE/Plants/Management team to maintain AVL/PVL, and design exit strategy with non-performing suppliers during EOL process;

Introduce best practices into Overseas operations. Domestic/international travel as required.

Requirements
BS in Engineering/technical discipline, with secondary education in business/procurement function. CPM desired. 5+ years relevant Sourcing Engineering experience from within healthcare manufacturing related procurement role, including facilities/engineering/quality/program mngmt:

Strong experience with supplier management, inventory control, statistics, problem solving, purchasing, quality, project management, materials planning, costing and quoting. Solid PC/procurement systems proficiency;

Requires effective written/oral communication skills, with the ability to sell concepts, assist in strategy design, and persuade others for change in design, strategy and supplier selection. Ability to travel when necessary.
